PLCTN Consulting
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
This policy explains how PLCTN, Lda. collects and uses personal data when you visit our website or contact us. We aim to collect only the information needed to respond to enquiries, provide our services and operate the website.
01 Who we are
PLCTN, Lda. (“PLCTN”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is the organisation responsible for personal data described in this policy. Our website is www.plctn.com.
For questions about this policy or how we handle your personal data, contact us using the details at the end of this page.
02 What personal data we collect
Contact form: When you send us an enquiry, we collect your first name and last name, email address, subject and message. Phone number is optional. The subject and message fields do not ask for particular identifying details, but their contents may include personal data if you choose to provide it.
Our contact form is provided by Squarespace, which processes the information you submit so it can transmit your enquiry to us. We receive enquiries at info@plctn.com, hosted in Microsoft 365 Exchange Online.
Website analytics: If you consent to performance and analytics cookies, Squarespace processes information about visits to and activity on our website. This may include your IP address, browser and device information, referring page, pages visited, interactions and timestamps. These cookies are not used before you give consent.
Please do not include patient details, health information or other sensitive personal data in the contact form. If such information is necessary for a potential engagement, please discuss a secure way to provide it with us first.
03 Why we use your data
- To respond to an enquiry and discuss a possible engagement. We process the information you provide to take steps you request before entering into a contract. For other enquiries, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to communications sent to us.
- To provide and manage services. If you become a client, we use relevant contact and correspondence details to manage our relationship and provide the agreed services.
- To meet legal obligations. We may retain or use relevant records where required by law or needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- To understand website use. We use analytics information only where you have consented to the relevant cookies. You can change your cookie preferences through the cookie controls on our website.
We do not use contact form details for unrelated marketing.
04 Who receives your data
We share personal data only where needed for the purposes set out in this policy:
- Squarespace provides our website hosting and contact form and processes website analytics when you consent. For some information it collects about use of its own services, Squarespace may act independently. See its Privacy Policy.
- Microsoft provides the Exchange Online mailbox that receives and manages contact form enquiries.
- Professional advisers or public authorities may receive relevant information where this is necessary for legal, regulatory or professional purposes.
We do not share details from an initial enquiry with specialist service providers. If a proposed engagement involves a specialist provider and sharing your personal data with them is necessary, we will inform you in advance, before sharing your details.
05 International transfers
Microsoft 365 Exchange Online stores the content of our company mailbox, including email messages and attachments, at rest in EU data centres.
Squarespace may process or transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area as part of providing its services. Where a transfer requires safeguards, Squarespace describes the applicable arrangements, including standard contractual clauses and other recognised transfer mechanisms, in its Data Processing Addendum.
06 How long we keep your data
We keep contact form enquiries for as long as needed to respond and manage any resulting professional relationship. If an enquiry leads to an engagement, we may retain relevant records for the duration of that relationship and for any further period required by law or needed to deal with legal claims.
We keep analytics information in line with the relevant cookie durations and Squarespace settings. More detail about cookies and how to manage them is available in our Cookie Policy.
07 Your data protection rights
Subject to the conditions in applicable data protection law, you may have the right to:
- request access to your personal data;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure or restriction of processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive certain data in a portable format; and
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.
To exercise a right, contact us at info@plctn.com. You may also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
08 Cookies and analytics
Our website uses necessary cookies to operate. Performance and analytics cookies are used only after you consent through the cookie banner. You can review the cookies we identified and manage your preferences in our Cookie Policy.
For general information about cookies used by Squarespace, see its cookies guide.
09 Security and third-party websites
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data and limit access to people who need it for their work. No method of online transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Our website may link to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to read before providing them with personal data.
10 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our website, services or legal obligations. The latest version will be published on this page with its updated date.
